Trico Centre’s fourth annual Movie Night in the Park took place on Sunday evening, August 11th. Over 200 people attended the event and watched one of 2023’s biggest family hits, “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”, on the baseball field located at the south end of the facility.
The weather was perfect for our Movie Night, and many families and members from our community arrived early to enjoy pre-movie concessions before staking out their spot to sit in the outfield grass. Green Door Preschool and Code Ninjas Willow Park were both in attendance with booths to engage the audience, as was the event’s Presenting Sponsor, Dental Care for Children.
The remarkable success of this year’s event was made possible through the generosity and support of our sponsors, members, and the many parents and children who attended Movie Night in the Park. Being a non-profit organization, Trico Centre depends heavily on the backing of local groups and businesses to not only help us offer valuable health, wellness, and recreation initiatives, but to host special events for our community. All donations made at this year’s Movie Night will also be matched by up to 50% by Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink.
