Bring the entire family out for a skate! Helmets are mandatory for anyone under 12 years old and highly recommended for all ages. We highly recommend using a ski or hockey helmet over a bike helmet, since they are not made for ice. No sticks, pucks, chairs, or strollers permitted. Everyone on the ice must be in skates or ice cleats. Skater assists are permitted but not supplied. Teaching private lessons is not allowed. And all children under 12 years must be accompanied on ice by guardian that is 16+ years. Maximum 60 skaters per session.

Youth ages 9-11 years old will have access to the Fitness Centre within arm’s reach of a parent upon the completion of Youth Orientation 1 (YO1). Participants learn how to use size-appropriate cardio equipment and perform some strength exercises primarily focused on body weight movements. One parent is required to take the YO1 with the youth.
Bring your super soaker and join in on the fun every Saturday night!

If you are in need of a Super Soaker have no fear! Trico Centre does have a few that we can lend, just please ensure they are returned at the end of the swim time!

Our open gymnasium time provides a designated space for people of all ages to experience recreation and fitness on their own terms. Bring your own equipment and practice your movement of choice (e.g. dance, fitness, skipping, etc.). No nets will be available, but you’re welcomed to practice your sport without them (e.g. soccer, basketball, floor hockey, etc.). Youth 12 years and younger MUST be accompanied by a guardian (16+).

Youth ages 12-14 years old will have access to the Fitness Centre upon the completion of Youth Orientation 2. All cardio equipment becomes available, and a basic workout program is introduced focusing on primary movement patterns and foundational strength. Machine weights, and functional equipment are covered.

Practice passing, shooting and ball control in a casual environment! Formal instruction, pylons and related objects, are NOT permitted. Players 12 years and younger MUST be accompanied by a playing guardian (16+). We recommend players bring their own with a plastic non-marking blade. No wooden blades or blades with hockey tape. No exceptions. Plastic and carbon fiber blades are acceptable. Please wear shoes with non-marking soles. We highly recommend players wear shin guards and a mouth guard. Very limited youth sticks and balls are available to borrow.
