Celebrating Excellence at Trico Centre: Meet Cassidy, Melissa, and Heather

At Trico Centre for Family Wellness, we are incredibly proud of our team and their dedication to excellence both inside and outside of our facility. Today, we’re shining the spotlight on three outstanding employees who have achieved remarkable milestones.

Cassidy Conaghan: Trico Centre Personal Trainer, has officially made history! Representing Team Canada, Cassidy competed at the 100% RAW Powerlifting World Championships in Virginia Beach from November 21-24, 2024. Her performance was nothing short of spectacular, as she claimed the Women’s Open World Championship title and shattered records in all three lifts: squat (157.5 kg), bench press (75 kg), and deadlift (167.5 kg). Her overall performance set a new benchmark for the K-Formula, marking the highest ever seen in RAW’s history.

Cassidy’s achievements showcase her extraordinary strength, discipline, and passion for the sport. As a world champion, she continues to inspire those around her to reach new heights in their own fitness journeys.

Melissa Schaffer: Trico Centre Fitness Instructor and another shining star at Trico Centre, recently took home several titles at the Natural Physique and Athletic Association (NPAA) competition held at the University of Calgary on November 2, 2024. Competing in multiple categories, Melissa demonstrated unparalleled dedication and skill in Master Figure, Open Figure, and Wellness Novice. She not only won Masters Figure and Open Wellness but also earned the prestigious NPAA Elite Pro Figure designation.

Melissa’s hard work, focus, and perseverance inspire us all. Her achievements exemplify the power of commitment and determination, and we are thrilled to celebrate her incredible accomplishments.

Heather Teichrob: Trico Centre Fitness Instructor, was recently recognized as one of Canada’s top fitness instructors. With a dynamic background in group fitness instruction, instructor training and development, individual coaching, and program creation, Heather brings unmatched energy and expertise to her classes.

Heather’s philosophy revolves around making fitness accessible to everyone, regardless of their starting point. She fosters an environment that champions inclusivity and personal growth, ensuring every participant feels validated and empowered. Heather’s repertoire is extensive, ranging from Cycling, Strength Training, and Step Aerobics to Aquatics, Barre, HIIT, and Athletic Conditioning.

Her ultimate goal? To inspire mental and physical well-being while helping participants build confidence and a sense of community. Congratulations, Heather, on this well-deserved recognition!
