Trico Centre for Family Wellness has proudly served the Calgary community for over 40 years as a non-profit, community-operated facility dedicated to healthy living for all ages and abilities. Rooted in collaboration and inclusivity, Trico Centre is committed to providing accessible wellness, recreation, and family-focused programming.

Our Board of Directors plays a vital role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction, ensuring long-term sustainability, and championing community engagement. We are currently seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join the Board as Directors-at-Large – bringing their unique perspectives and skills to help shape the future of Trico Centre.

    Are you currently residing in any of the Calgary communities who are community partners with Trico Centre? Have you been on Trico Centre board anytime during last 10 years? If elected as a Director at Large, are you interested any of the positions below? Do you have any other limitations to perform your duties to the full extent as a Director at Large?

    1. What is the objective of conducting elections?

    The Trico Centre for Family Wellness Board of Directors will conduct elections to fill thirteen (13) director-at-large positions per the bylaw changes in 2024.

    2. Who is responsible for the administration of this upcoming election?

    3. When are the elections?

    Thursday, May 22, 2025
    7:00pm to 9:00pm (AGM followed by elections)

    4. How can the nominations be filled up?

    5. What is the deadline for filling up nominations?

    April 30th, 2025

    7. Who is eligible to be a candidate for the elections?

    To be eligible to seek office, an individual must meet all the following criteria on the date the nomination papers are submitted and again on the date voting starts:

    1. be individuals
    2. at least eighteen (18) years of age
    3. shall not have been convicted of any criminal offense
    4. shall not be or have been bankrupt
    5. shall have the power under the law to contract

    8. Who is eligible for nominations?

    Any person receiving salary, wages, commission, bonus, or any form of remuneration from Trico Centre. This does not apply to Board members, committee members, members, and volunteers who may be paid a per diem or receive reimbursement for expenses or Trico Centre Membership perks related to fulfilling the duties of their position.

    9. Who can and cannot vote?

    Eligible:
    To be eligible to vote, an individual must be a Trico Centre Member in good standing, not in arrears to the facility for any fee or levy, and at least 18 years of age as of March, the date on which the official voter’s list is created. Voting is in person only, and proxy voting is acceptable.

    Not Eligible:
    Any person receiving salary, wages, commission, bonus, or any remuneration from Trico Centre. This does not apply to Board members, committee members, members, and volunteers who may be paid a per diem or receive reimbursement for expenses or Trico Centre membership perks related to fulfilling the duties of their position.

    10. When will the results be announced?

    May 22, 2025 after the Annual General Meeting
