Trico Centre for Family Wellness has proudly served the Calgary community for over 40 years as a non-profit, community-operated facility dedicated to healthy living for all ages and abilities. Rooted in collaboration and inclusivity, Trico Centre is committed to providing accessible wellness, recreation, and family-focused programming.
Our Board of Directors plays a vital role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction, ensuring long-term sustainability, and championing community engagement. We are currently seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join the Board as Directors-at-Large – bringing their unique perspectives and skills to help shape the future of Trico Centre.

The Trico Centre for Family Wellness Board of Directors will conduct elections to fill up to thirteen (13) director-at-large positions per the bylaw changes in 2024.
The voting members shall elect the Board of Directors, consisting of 13 positions. After the election, the newly elected Board will hold its first meeting, during which it will elect the Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee will be made up of the Executive Officers and the General Manager. This Committee is accountable to the Board of Directors and is responsible for overseeing the General Manager (who is responsible for day-to-day operations).
At the first Board meeting following the Annual General Meeting (or any other applicable meeting of members), the Board may elect Executive Officers from among the directors. These positions may include:
(i) President
(ii) Vice President 1
(iii) Vice President 2
(iv) Secretary
(v) Treasurer
(vi) Any other officers the Board may designate from time to time.

To be eligible to seek office, an individual must meet all the following criteria on the date the nomination papers are submitted and again on the date voting starts:
Any person receiving salary, wages, commission, bonus, or any remuneration from Trico Centre. This does not apply to Board members, committee members, community members, and volunteers who may be paid a per diem or receive reimbursement for expenses or Membership perks related to fulfilling the duties of their position.
To be eligible to vote, an individual must be a Trico Centre member in good standing, not in arrears to the Association for any fee or levy, and at least 18 years of age as of March, the date on which the official voter’s list is created. Voting is in person only, and Proxy voting is acceptable.
