The 2026 Trico Centre Charity Golf Classic brought golfers, businesses, sponsors and community supporters together at Blue Devil Golf Club on June 25 for a day of golf, networking and fundraising in support of Trico Centre’s child and youth programs.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, this year’s tournament raised over $55,000 for children and youth at Trico Centre, specifically for the expansion of the Leaders in Training (LIT) program, a youth leadership initiative designed for teens aged 13-17. This year-round program equips young people with the skills, confidence, and hands on experience needed to become future leaders in recreation programs, community initiatives and the workforce.
Since the Trico Centre Charity Golf Classic was reintroduced in 2023, golfers, sponsors and prize donors have helped raise more than $150,000 to strengthen child and youth programming at our community-operated recreation and wellness facility. Funds raised at the various Classics have helped provide opportunities for local children and youth to participate in sport, recreation and wellness programs in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment. These programs encourage young people to be active, develop skills, build confidence and form friendships.
The success of the Classic is built on partnerships. Trico Centre thanks the dozens of businesses, organizations, and individuals that supported the event through sponsorships, prize donations and participation. Your generosity helped make the tournament a memorable experience for golfers while generating funds that will have a lasting impact.
Trico Centre also thanks Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink, whose matching program helps amplify fundraising for children and youth across Alberta.
Every child deserves the opportunity to participate, discover what they enjoy and feel like they belong. As a community-operated, not-for-profit facility serving Calgary families for more than 40 years, Trico Centre is committed to keeping these opportunities accessible.
We invite businesses, organizations and individuals who share a commitment to healthy, active communities to consider supporting the 2027 Trico Centre Charity Golf Classic – taking place on June 24th, 2027 – or investing in Trico Centre’s child and youth programs.
Together, we can help more Calgary children discover the confidence, connection and wellness that come from being active and part of a community.
