Learn to Skate – All Ages

Trico Centre Skating Lessons

Learn to Skate at Trico Centre

  • At Trico Centre, we offer a progressive Learn to Skate program starting as young as 2.5 years old.
  • Our program is designed to teach and master foundational skating skills, preparing participants for all types of ice sports, including recreational skating, hockey, ringette, and figure skating.
  • To ensure success and enjoyment, it is essential to register participants in the appropriate level for their skill set. Proper placement is key to their progress and confidence.
  • One week before classes begin, the Programs Team will email an information letter to all registered families using the address provided at registration.

What to Bring

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, participants must bring the following:

  • CSA-approved hockey helmet (Note: Bicycle helmets are not permitted, no exceptions.)
  • Mittens or gloves
  • Sharpened skates
  • Snow or ski pants and a warm jacket

If additional equipment is required for specific programs (e.g., Power Skate, Hockey Tykes), details will be provided in the program description, your registration receipt, and parent information letter.
