Day Camps at Trico Centre

Welcome to Trico Centre Day Camps! We have a large variety of half-day and full-day camps to choose from, for everyone from the active child to the artistic child. Our programs are designed to be quality-based, well-rounded, educational, reasonably priced, and most of all—SAFE and FUN. Trico Centre is proud of our day camp tradition of providing a safe and high quality camp experience.

Day Camps are offered at the following times of the year following the Public and Separate School Systems:

Winter/Christmas Break ~ December & January

Teacher’s Convention ~ February

Spring Break ~ March & April

Summer ~ July & August

Depending on the year some additional dates may be added.

**Please note we do not offer PD Day Camps**

Our Day Camp Leaders and child/leader ratios:

To ensure the best experience and safety for your child, our ratios are as follows:

  • Preschool Camps (3-6 years) 1:8, 16 children maximum in each camp.
  • Youth Camps (6 years+) 1:15, camp maximums are determined by camp activity and space.

Each camp has 1-2  Camp Leaders, and trained volunteers join us during the summer. Our carefully selected, energetic leaders have practical and educational experience, and go through a training program. All of our leaders are certified in First Aid/CPR, High Five Training, and have a current Police Security Clearance. Trico Centre day camp leaders and volunteers strive to be a friend, mentor, and role model to all of our campers.

Registration Information:

When you register online or through guest services for day camps, there will be required questions to answer. Please fill out each prompt completely and accurately for each child. This is also a good time to ensure your primary contact information is correct, as we communicate through email during the summer (and we wouldn't want you to miss any important updates!). The more information you provide to us about your child, the more we can ensure your child has a positive and fun experience at our day camps. If your child has any medication you must submit a medical form with instructions. By registering you acknowledge and agree to our Day Camp Participant waiver and risk acknowledgment.

Drop off & Pick Up:

Each day please go to the camp location as directed on your registration and check in with the leader. They will confirm your daytime contact information, medical information, and who will be picking your child up. When picking up your child all individuals will be required to show photo ID for safety purposes (no exceptions). If you pick up your child after 4:00 pm they will be automatically registered into Late Care Supervision, additional fees apply.

Extra Supervision:

Camp hours are 9:00am-4:00pm. Trico Centre offers extra supervision outside of these hours. Please register for supervision times separately. Children arriving prior to 9:00am or not picked up by 4:00pm will be registered in supervision, and parents will be guided to guest services to complete payment.

Please see the School Break or Summer Camp pages for specific times for extra supervision.

Early Care - Door will open at the specified time, not prior as our staff are setting up.

Camps stay together over the lunch hour. If attending for only a ½ day camp we offer Lunch Care (12:00-1:00pm), additional fees apply.

Late Care - We appreciate your cooperation with arriving to pick up your child on time at the end of the day. Parents may be charged an extra late fee and will be required to pay at guest services if picked up past the end time of your child's camp.

  • Daily $5.00/child/supervision time
  • Weekly $20.00/child/supervision time
